A Glimpse About Me

I grew up in the suburbs of Washington DC.   My heritage is Greek, which comes with some interesting family experiences!   My journey in life has been centered with creativity, exploration and wonderful experiences that have helped me grow as an artist and person.  I am very fortunate to have 3 wonderful daughters that have filled my life with joy! 

From a young age I realized I could draw and loved creating art.  This set me on a journey to pursue art as my career in life.   My educational experiences include: Ivy Tech Community College, Purdue University, Herron School of Art and Indiana State University.  These great educational establishments gave me the opportunity to receive a BFA with a minor in Art History, an MFA and Teaching certification. 

Although I personally create art based on my own desires and visions, I have done illustrations, portraits and custom art for my customers.   As a certified art teacher, I have taught art to all ages.  Recently, I started a business to inspire others to create art, Art and Paint Parties LLC has encouraged others in a social environment to dig into their creativity and have fun too.

The study and research of other artists in history has been part of my inspiration as an Artist.   Georgia O’Keefe, Giorgio Morandi, Lance Letscher, Vincent Van Gogh and Auguste Rodin.  These are just of few of my inspirations, there are so many others that have influenced me to become the artist I am today.
